The chairman of SCE Eng. Hussain bin Salem Al-Shammari clarified that the current structural and the organizational development in the kingdom brought to SCE an anticipated paradigm shift on its performance to keep pace with the current development. That comes through transferring its supervision to the Ministry of Municipal and rural affairs led by his excellency Mr. Majed Al-Hogail.

He added that this transfer will achieve the objectives and policies of the professional development and it will organize the SCE performance in proportion with the aspiration of the Saudi leadership. 

Al-Shammari confirmed that the council of ministers' approval on the transfer of SCE supervision to the Ministry of Municipal and rural affairs requires a new shift in the performance reflecting on the work quality and the infrastructure, as to ensure the consistency and the integration with various authorities. As well as improving the efficiency of the project implementations and increasing the updated programs.

 Al-Shammari said the council is continuing to perform its main objectives for which it was created nearly two decades ago. Recently, it began to contribute to office typology and Architectural consulting companies in cooperation with the Municipal affairs. Noting that, there will be an improvement to the work standards, deepen the architectural researches and studies and standardize the examination and the rules of the professional degrees.

He pointed out that the Council is looking forward to a new age of developmental regulations that enhance professional, operational, and organizational aspects. Meanwhile, it will continue to develop its policies, governance, and the vocation of its members under the development output which is supervised by the Ministry of Municipals. SCE is working to facilitate its services and tasks to benefit members of the profession and society.

After 19 years under the supervision of the Ministry of commerce. It was mentioned that the council of ministers approved the transfer of SCE supervision to the Ministry of Municipals and rural affairs according to the announcement of the Minister of Municipals and rural affairs Eng. Majed Al-hogail.
