​Proceeding From Saudi Council of Engineers objectives in the development of the engineering profession and their employees and the development of technical and professional skills, and increased competition among themselves and invest in professional disciplines;

 SCE is pleased to announce the opening of registration for the first professional examination on Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) in collaboration with National Center for Assessment in Higher Education (Qiyas). SCE invites all engineers who wish to get professional grades in their specialties to register for the exam and get professional grades.

Important Notes:
  
I.Passing this professional examination will be considered as an optional requirement for upgrade to professional grades.
II.The exam has two sessions: 1.General: that includes general skills and general engineering skills.
2.Discipline based: that includes engineering disciplines

 
III.The professional grades will be awarded according to the following considerations: a.Grade: Engineer 1.Should have registered with the Council and should possess a valid membership.
2.Should have obtained a university degree in engineering from a recognized university.

b.Grade: Associate Engineer 1.Should have registered with the Council and should possess a valid membership.
2.Should have obtained the Engineer grade by Saudi Council of Engineers or its equivalent.
3.Must have practical experience of minimum two years.
4.Should have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam of the Council or equivalent.

c.Grade: Professional Engineer 1.Should have registered with the Council and should possess a valid membership.
2.Must have practical experience for a period of minimum five (5) years.
3.Should have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam of the Council or equivalent.
4.Should have passed PE exam of SCE or equivalent.

d.Grade: Consultant Engineer 1.Should have registered with the Council and should possess a valid membership.
2.Should have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam of the Council or equivalent.
3.Should have passed PE exam of SCE or equivalent.
4.Must have practical experience for a period of minimum ten (10) years.
5.Should pass professional interview.

IV.Registration for professional examinations [to the applicable levels] are open to all engineers and for all age groups; and a valid SCE membership is a pre-requirement for the registration.
V.Holders of professional degrees issued by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and other international professional organizations may apply for equivalent professional grades of SCE in accordance with the regulations and procedures prescribed for that.
