His Excellency the Permanent Ambassador of the Kingdom to the United Nations, Eng. Abdullah Al-Moalami stressed that the Saudi engineer can have a leading and influential role in any sector of development, noting that it is not surprising that we saw our engineers occupying highest positions technically and administratively in various sectors and fields.
He noted that the role of the Saudi engineer in development will always be an effective and influential leadership role.
He pointed out that engineering is not just a profession or a set of laws and theories, but a way of thinking, a method of management, and methodology of work.
He explained that in order for the role of the Saudi engineer to become basic and central, he must work on several elements, the most important of which is to recognize that the stage of learning does not end with university studies, and getting the title of engineer. He should be familiar with everything, and adhere to the highest standards of Integrity, and have a successful professional incubator with a number of tasks that will help engineers to improve their skills and competencies.
Engineer Al-Moalami thanked SCE for inviting him in his professional capacity, which he asserted that he cherished all pride.
For his part, SCE chairman, Eng. Saad Al Shahrani, said that Ramadan gathering is part of a series of meetings organized by SCE to exchange experiences in all engineering, economic and social sectors.
He said: "The forum is part of SCE interest in developing the capabilities of engineers and refining their skills to achieve sustainable development in the Kingdom."
Al-Shahrani added that SCE has taken care of this aspect in view of the rapid changes in the world in the engineering fields by identifying a range of skills, techniques, resources and advantages that the engineering sectors and engineers can invest to achieve progress and development in various engineering disciplines that serve the interests of the country and the citizen. And achieve Leadership aspiration in the renaissance of civilization, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
