The Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) has officially announced the schedule for the 2025 professional certification exams, including the Fundamentals of Engineering and Architecture (FE, FA) and the Professional Engineering and Architecture (PE, PA) exams. These exams are conducted in collaboration with the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), reflecting the SCE's commitment to developing the engineering profession, enhancing technical and professional skills, and fostering competitiveness within the sector.
The exams will be held concurrently across various regions in the Kingdom. Registration details will be announced later, and candidates will be able to register through their Professional Accreditation account on the SCE website, as well as via the Qiyas platform for the respective exams.

Passing the exams is a key requirement for obtaining various professional ranks. These exams assess the fundamental and professional engineering competencies of both experienced engineers and recent graduates. Additionally, they help evaluate an engineer's performance, measure their professional competence, and identify areas for improvement and development.
Passing the professional certification exams is mandatory for career advancement and obtaining various professional ranks. The exams consist of two sections: a general exam, which covers core engineering skills and general competencies, and a specialized exam, which assesses expertise in specific engineering disciplines. Successful completion of these exams grants professional ranks in accordance with SCE regulations.
Registration for the exams is open to all engineers across all age groups, provided they hold an active membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
Professional ranks will be granted in accordance with SCE regulations as follows:
- Engineer: Must be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), hold an active membership, and possess a recognized engineering degree from an accredited university.
- Associate Engineer: Must be registered with SCE, hold an active membership, and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam administered by SCE or an equivalent certification.
- Professional Engineer: Must be registered with SCE, hold an active membership, have at least five years of professional experience, and pass the Professional Engineer (PE) exam administered by SCE or an equivalent certification.
- Consulting Engineer: Must be registered with SCE, hold an active membership, have at least ten years of professional experience, and pass the Professional Engineer (PE) exam (if not previously passed) administered by SCE or an equivalent certification.
