SCE Board approves organization of periodic professional meetings in different regions to meet with engineers, develop the profession and raise the efficiency of employees

The Saudi Council for engineers (SCE) Board of Directors held its ordinary meeting in Dammam, Eastern Province, under the chairmanship of Eng. Saad bin Mohammed Al Shahrani, in the presence of the Board members and SCE Secretary General, Eng. Farhan bin Hebaiter Al - Shammari.

SCE official spokesman,  Eng. Nasser Al-Abdulatif, explained that the Board has approved a mechanism to organize professional meetings with engineers, hosting prominent engineering figures in the Kingdom's regions, as well as the participation of engineers, technicians and those interested in the development of the engineering sector through discussion of a number of strategic topics for developing the engineering profession. This is besides developing SCE plans and programs aimed at developing and professional organization, in order to raise the efficiency of the performance of engineers and engineering services, in addition to introduction to practicing engineering professions regulations and its executive bylaws, which prohibit the practice of any engineering profession only after obtaining professional accreditation from SCE.

He pointed out that the Board has approved the companies and engineering offices committee's regulations to activate their role and encourage them to develop and achieve their objectives and raise the quality of the engineering sector outputs in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 by enhancing the engineering profession in the Kingdom and support and contribute to the development of engineering and consulting offices' work, raising their capabilities, and paying attention to the infrastructure, to build an ambitious country. He stressed that all engineering offices and companies in various specialization, must comply with the regulations and laws approved by SCE.

Al-Abdullatif pointed out that the Board has also discussed during its meeting the executive rules of the engineering divisions to be in line with the strategic plan of SCE., to develop the engineering specialties, activate their role, support them, find incentives to raise the quality and creativity and raise the level of performance and advancement in the engineering profession, empower engineers and engineering institutions to reach the optimal solutions to attain a prestigious position, build competencies and engineering capabilities that contribute effectively to the economic development of the Kingdom. He noted the role of the engineering divisions in organizing seminars, conferences and forums and training in their fields.
